My brain, heart, testicles, and pretty much everything else are already back in the States. About two more weeks to go and it is rapidly closing. I’m becoming exceedingly concerned with my finals and how I will do on them because I’ve down-shifted gears way too early. I’ve dug a giant hole for myself. I need to buckle down. I keep repeating really trite and cliche phrases.
I don’t really know what this summer holds for me. I am hoping for the best. I get the feeling I am going to leave at the end similar to this most recent time; really glad to be gone and intensely disappointed for my time to be over all at the same time.
Things I’ve done in the past few weeks that I should mention:
Dodgeball tournament.
Visited Bel Air orphan house.
Finished dissecting that goat (thankfully, it was starting to smell pretty bad).
Had to start dissecting a chicken (fuck!!, they smell worse).
Had a barbecue with M.P.H. professors at their house (Too bad I’m not in public health).
Got some postcards.
Took (chaperoned?) orphans to Fish Friday.
Watched a lot of hockey.
I don’t ever want to settle for anything. I want what I want.

I still stand by the statement that 2009, on the whole, has sucked so far for music. This is a needle.
So ESPN is covering some hockey for the first time since like, 1996. Well, they’re covering Ovechkin. Close enough. This is fortunate in that it helps hockey gain some exposure in the mainstream sports world once again. Unfortunately, however, it’s a bit of a fluff piece and hockey traditionalists will sort of gag watching it at times.
I’m all for it. Everyone, you can hop on my Capitals and Ovechkin bandwagon. Come aboard!
I’d like to have no responsibilities right now. I want to have all of my priorities totally focused on playing video games and getting games of hockey going.
